A Veilene is a human born from an Engram Pool as a fully envenerate (composed of engrams) person. The overwhelming majority of Veilenes identify with TTMA. Many TTMA worlds share a massive, ancient pool of Engrams called the Mass Society.

Those humans outside TTMA who regard it as a monolithic entity sometimes refer to Veilenes as "Arcaelits". This nomenclature is common among peoples who have not directly experienced TTMA's pan-species culture and assume it must be held together by one dominant identity. In reality, Veilenes cannot be thought of as a nation, race, or distinct species: Veilene is a different context and pattern in which to express humanity, its own lifeway. This subtlety is why those who are womb-born to an envenerate person are considered Veilenes, and why there are some people who become evenerate, either by transubstration or piecemeal engrammation, who are not considered Veilenes.
