Imperial Army

Imperial Army is the traditional name given by any TTMA-aligned military forces to non-signatory worlds when asked. Begin part of TTMA, the Imperial Army is not a formal organization or hierarchy. Instead, TTMA achieves collective defense with a cellular structure of voluntary Armed Forces. Some of these forces are raised when necessary, and some hail from purpose-driven groups of warriors. Such groups are called Imperial Army Communities (IACs). Local communities typically have some sort of trust-maintaining agreement in place to distribute powerful weapons according to how far these weapons' effects might reach. With modern technology that includes the entire planetary system, so many IACs are based on orbital arcologies rather than sharing planets.
