Rogue Space

Rogue Space is a term used to refer to stars, planets, and other objects that do not orbit a Galaxy. This is a real-life concept: Intergalactic Star, Wikipedia
In the Known Universes, Rogue Space is often associated with high-risk, multi-step travel between Galaxies. Even with the levels of technology seen in TTMA and other civilizations, intergalactic travel remains perilous because there is no way to send a superluminal signal by itself. If one becomes stranded, one must wait for a courier ship (these are typically prearranged along the paths of intergalactic expeditions), or somehow repair and refuel enough to travel to the nearest known inhabited place.
Examples
- Rendezvous 18, a semi-stable world renowned for its hostile environment. Used as an intergalactic waystation by those with access to long-duration self-contained environments who'd rather not be bothered.
- Axokai, an Itayohkon Simworld whose dividuals are alleged to cooperate, support, and possibly even manipulate Zikhaidway Ordon armies into destabilizing areas of space for them to colonize. Axokai is implicated in the Fall of Laclathan.
